Meet the Builder
Nick Kachel
Nick began his construction career at an early age in his hometown of Pueblo,
Colorado. Driven by a passion for building, he pursued a Bachelor of Science in
Civil Engineering Technology from Colorado State University – Pueblo. Upon
completing his degree, Nick launched his professional journey with U.S. Home in
1995 in Fort Collins, Colorado. From there, he honed his skills and experience in
the construction industry, contributing to numerous projects across the state
while steadily advancing his career.
He is a seasoned construction professional with over 30 years of experience,
recognized for his contributions to prominent projects such as Habitat for
Humanity builds, start-up production builders, and several award-winning homes
featured in the Colorado Springs Home Builders Association (CSHBA) Parade of
Homes. His extensive expertise spans multiple construction disciplines, and he
holds (or has held) licenses in various municipalities across Colorado’s Front
Range. Highly regarded for his exceptional collaboration skills, working effectively
with owners, developers, designers, building officials, and subcontractors. His
ability to navigate complex project dynamics with ease, combined with his strong
leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, has earned him the
respect and trust of both clients and colleagues in the construction industry.
In 2016, Nick expanded his expertise by acquiring a local foundation company and
began working with several large contractors in El Paso County. Though this shift
represents a new and challenging phase in his career, Nick's passion for home
building remains deep-rooted. Over the years, he has successfully completed a
number of custom projects, continuing to demonstrate his commitment to quality
craftsmanship and client satisfaction.
Today, Nick has partnered with long-time friends to continue his lifelong passion
for home building with the creation of BLK Diamond Homes, LLC.. This exciting
partnership opens up great opportunities within the Southern Colorado region,
allowing them to provide high-quality homes and deliver an exceptional customer
experience—one that is second to none.
